Travel inside Poland will be by bus or van, depending on how many travelers participate. Americans (including your guide) don't really enjoy endless bus rides. But the bus rides will also make it possible to see the Kashubian countryside in a way no book or website could ever accomplish. Better yet, the Kashubian countryside is very compact. For example:
Gdańsk to Bytow: 95 km (59.5 mi) 1:24 drive time
Gdańsk to Malbork: 63 km (39 mi) 0:52 drive time
Gdańsk to Malbork via Szutowo: 90 km (56 mi) 1:28 drive time
Gdańsk to Lipusz: 74 km (46 mi) 1:05 drive time.
Gdańsk to Wdzydze Kiszewskie: 75 km (47 mi) 1:05 drive time
